Product Description |
This product adopts hot melt adhesive, with high initial adhesion, holding adhesion, 90° peeling force, and a certain low temperature resistance. Heat sensitive surface material has excellent waterproof, oil and alcohol proof effect, no ink or carbon consumption, clear printing |
|||
Print&Process |
Can be used in most traditional printing methods for printing. Due to the thermal sensitivity of the product, the processing environment above 50°C should be avoided. Inks containing alcohol or volatile organic solvents may damage the thermal layer. UV or water-based ink and varnish are recommended for flexographic printing. It is recommended to test the ink before printing. It can be used for non-direct contact labeling of food, medicine, cosmetics and other products. |
|||
Storage&Preservation |
Long-term exposure to an environment above 50°C or direct sunlight should be avoided. It is valid for one year at temperature 23±2°C and relative humidity 50±5%. Products beyond the expiry date can still be used after passing the inspection. |

1. Introduction:
Direct thermal paper labels are a type of label that utilizes heat-sensitive paper and a thermal printer to produce high-quality, durable labels without the need for ink, toner, or ribbons. The labels are coated with a special heat-sensitive layer that reacts to the heat generated by the thermal printer, resulting in the creation of text, barcodes, and images on the label surface.
2. Construction:
Direct thermal paper labels consist of three main components:
- a. Facestock: This is the top layer of the label that receives the printed information. It is typically made of high-quality, heat-sensitive paper coated with a thermal coating.
- b. Adhesive: The adhesive layer is applied to the back of the facestock and is responsible for sticking the label to the desired surface. The type of adhesive used depends on the application requirements, such as permanent or removable adhesion.
- c. Liner: The liner is the bottom layer of the label and provides structural support during printing and application. It is typically made of siliconized paper or film.
3. Printing Process:
Direct thermal printing relies on the heat generated by the thermal printhead of a compatible printer. The printer selectively applies heat to the thermal paper label, causing the heat-sensitive coating to react and darken in the desired areas, forming the printed content. The process is fast and efficient, making it ideal for high-volume printing applications.
4. Advantages:
Direct thermal paper labels offer several advantages over other labeling methods:
- a. Cost-effective: Since direct thermal labels do not require ink, toner, or ribbons, they eliminate the ongoing costs associated with these supplies.
- b. Easy to use: Direct thermal printing is a simple process that does not require special training or complicated setup. Just load the labels into a compatible printer, and you're ready to print.
- c. Quick printing: Direct thermal printing is fast, enabling rapid label production and increasing operational efficiency.
- d. Durability: Modern direct thermal labels are designed to withstand environmental factors such as heat, moisture, and chemicals, ensuring the longevity of the printed information.
- e. Versatility: Direct thermal labels can be used for a wide range of applications, including shipping labels, barcode labels, product labels, tickets, receipts, and more.
5. Applications:
Direct thermal paper labels find applications in various industries and sectors:
a. Logistics and warehousing: They are commonly used for shipping labels, inventory management, and tracking purposes.
b. Retail: Direct thermal labels are used for pricing labels, shelf tags, and product identification in retail environments.
c. Healthcare: They are utilized for patient identification, laboratory specimen labeling, and pharmacy labeling.
d. Manufacturing: Direct thermal labels find applications in product labeling, quality control, and asset management.
e. Hospitality and entertainment: They are used for ticketing, admission wristbands, and event management.
In conclusion, direct thermal paper labels are a cost-effective, efficient, and versatile labeling solution. Their ease of use, durability, and compatibility with thermal printers make them a popular choice across various industries. Whether you need to label packages, products, or assets, direct thermal paper labels provide a reliable and hassle-free labeling solution.
